Job summary

A financial services company in Manila is seeking an experienced Vessel Accountant to manage accounting for assigned vessels. Vessel Accountant - Onsite (Monday to Friday - Ermita, Manila)

• We are looking for a Vessel Accountant to join our Finance and Accounts team. In this role, you will handle the accounting of assigned vessels and work closely with ship owners and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

What you will do

• Manage day to day accounting for assigned vessels
• Prepare fund requests and review vendor invoices
• Check portage bills and related documents
• Prepare monthly financial reports, cash flow and budget variance reports
• Perform balance sheet and fund balance reconciliations
• Communicate with ship owners and internal teams on accounting matters
• Respond to queries and ensure reports are submitted on timeSupport monthly reporting and other tasks assigned by your manager

Who we are looking for

• Graduate of Accounting, Finance or related field
• Relevant years of accounting experience in Shipping or Vessel
• Experience in financial reporting and reconciliations
• Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is a plus
• Familiar with Excel and other Microsoft tools
• Good communication skills in English
• Organized, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
• Work with an experienced and supportive team
