Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking a capable vehicle maintenance technician to perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on a fleet of LPG tankers and other vehicles. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform repairs, and maintain detailed service logs.

The role involves safeguarding safety standards, assisting in roadside breakdowns, and communicating fleet conditions to management. Training and opportunities for advancement are available.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and manual inspection.
• Identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
• Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and fuel systems.
• Maintain and repair air conditioning systems, lighting systems, and other vehicle components.
• Conduct service and maintenance on LPG tankers, including pressurized systems (if certified).
• Maintain detailed service and repair logs for each vehicle.
• Document all maintenance activities in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Adhere to environmental and occupational safety regulations.
• Inspect LPG tankers and ensure all safety valves and equipment function correctly (if applicable).
• Assist in roadside repairs and emergency breakdown support when needed.
• Provide feedback to management on fleet condition and recommendations for improvement.
