As a US Intermediate Tax Accountant, you are a core technical driver within our North American division. This role is designed for a confident tax professional who has moved beyond foundational tasks and is ready to manage end-to-end compliance for a diverse range of US clients. You won't just be preparing returns; you'll be a strategic partner, providing the tax planning and advisory insights that help US businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of federal and state regulations with absolute confidence.
Take full ownership of preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities. Calculate taxes owed or refunds due with high precision, utilizing advanced tax software to ensure every filing is accurate and fully compliant with current IRS regulations.
Move beyond compliance by providing high-value tax planning and advisory services. Assist clients with complex tax-related inquiries and provide the analytical support needed to optimize their financial positions.
Collect and organize complex documentation-from payroll data to investment information-maintaining meticulously organized workpapers. Perform general accounting tasks, including reconciliations and financial analysis, to ensure a holistic view of the client's financial health.
Maintain the highest standards of data protection. Manage confidential records and protect sensitive client information in accordance with international data security policies and firm standards.
Stay at the forefront of the industry by continuously updating your knowledge of changes in US tax laws and state-specific regulations, ensuring our global partners always receive the most current advice.
3 years of dedicated experience in Public Accounting or a similar role is required. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Holding an Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA license is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Intuit QuickBooks and Lacerte Tax is essential. You possess a strong analytical mindset and a deep understanding of US tax laws and multi-state compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You are a clear communicator with the professional composure to handle complex client inquiries and manage multiple priorities with ease.
