Accountant Offshore Inc. is seeking a senior U.S. Audit Manager to oversee and deliver U.S. audit engagements for a U.S.-based CPA firm client.

You will manage planning, fieldwork, review, and completion while directing audit teams and communicating with U.S.-based partners and clients. The role requires extensive experience with U.S. GAAP/GAAS, strong leadership, and excellent English communication. This is a senior, client-facing position based in the Philippines with ongoing engagement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Accountancy or related field.
  • Proven experience with or supporting U.S. CPA firms.
  • Experience as a U.S. Audit Manager or equivalent managerial role.
  • Experience leading audit engagements and audit teams.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS.
  • Experience reviewing audit workpapers and financial statements.
  • Experience managing engagements from planning through completion.
  • Solid understanding of audit risk, internal controls, and substantive testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.

  • Assist in resolving complex accounting and audit matters.

About the role

Accountant Offshore Inc. is looking for an experienced U.S. Audit Manager to support one of our U.S.-based CPA firm clients. This is a senior-level position for an audit professional with proven managerial experience handling U.S. audit engagements within a U.S. CPA firm environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing audit engagements, supervising audit teams, reviewing workpapers and financial statements, communicating directly with U.S.-based stakeholders, and ensuring engagements are completed in accordance with applicable U.S. auditing and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage multiple U.S. audit engagements from planning through completion.
  • Lead, supervise, coach, and review the work of Senior Auditors and other audit team members.
  • Review audit workpapers and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with firm standards.
  • Review financial statements, audit reports, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop appropriate audit strategies and procedures.
  • Identify accounting and auditing issues and provide guidance to the engagement team.
  • Monitor engagement progress, budgets, deadlines, and staff assignments.
  • Coordinate directly with U.S.-based partners, managers, clients, and engagement teams.
  • Conduct engagement review meetings and provide timely feedback to team members.
  • Assist in resolving complex accounting and audit matters.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accountancy, or a related field.
  • Significant experience working with or directly supporting U.S. CPA firms.
  • Previous experience as a U.S. Audit Manager, Audit Manager, or equivalent managerial role handling U.S. audit engagements.
  • Proven experience managing audit engagements and audit teams, not solely performing individual contributor or Senior Auditor responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAAS.
  • Strong experience reviewing audit workpapers, financial statements, disclosures, and audit documentation.
  • Experience managing engagements from planning, fieldwork, review, through completion.
  • Strong understanding of audit risk assessment, internal controls, substantive testing, and financial statement assertions.
  • Experience communicating directly with U.S.-based clients, partners, and senior management.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
