Job summary

Solar Systems Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced Solar Design Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in the Philippines.

You will lead design and engineering for residential, commercial, and industrial PV projects, ensuring compliant and optimized electrical layouts and energy yield analyses. The role requires hands-on experience with PV systems, AutoCAD, PVsyst, and a strong grip on electrical calculations and SLDs.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) eligible to practice in the Philippines.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of Solar PV design/engineering experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and PV system design software.
• Knowledge of PV equipment, inverters, modules, protection devices, and electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical calculations, SLDs, and system design.
• Able to lead projects and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of Solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Prepare detailed electrical and solar PV system designs, including SLD, layouts, equipment specifications, and electrical calculations.
• Conduct site assessments and evaluate existing electrical systems for solar installation.
• Perform system sizing, string configuration, inverter selection, cable sizing, voltage drop, and other electrical calculations.
• Prepare and review PVsyst simulations and energy yield analysis.
• Review technical drawings, plans, BOQs, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and project teams on technical requirements.
• Provide technical support during project implementation and troubleshooting.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable Philippine electrical, solar, and safety standards.
• Review and mentor junior solar design engineers.

About you

• Strong understanding of electrical calculations, SLDs, and system design
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
