Maxicare Health Care is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and provide comfortable, efficient care in a fast-paced primary care setting.

Allied health candidates ready to transition into diagnostics are welcome, with hands-on training and a 1-year service commitment. PRC license (RRT/RXT) or BS Radiologic Technology degree preferred; teamwork with radiologists is essential.

Qualifications

• Preferred: BS Radiologic Technology graduate with PRC license (RRT/RXT).
• Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Basic ultrasound troubleshooting ability.
• Experience or willingness to be trained in ultrasound operation.
• Strong documentation and multitasking in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and educate patients for ultrasound procedures.
• Perform abdomen, thyroid, breast, KUB, and HBT scans within targets.
• Ensure accurate patient history, image quality, and documentation.
• Operate ultrasound machines and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Collaborate with radiologists and OB sonologists to confirm results.
• Assist in special ultrasound procedures and scheduling.
• Uphold safety, confidentiality, and customer service standards.
• Record results using PACS, Emedcore, and Lifesys.

Join our Primary Care team as an Ultrasound Technologist to deliver essential diagnostic imaging for fast, accurate patient care. In this role, you’ll run ultrasound equipment, maintain image quality, work alongside medical staff, and keep patients comfortable. We also welcome motivated candidates from allied health backgrounds who want to transition into diagnostics through hands‑on training, paired with a 1-year service commitment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, position, and educate patients for ultrasound procedures

• Perform a variety of ultrasound scans (e.g., whole abdomen, thyroid, breast, KUB, HBT) within turnaround targets

• Ensure accuracy of patient history, image quality, and scan documentation

• Operate ultrasound machines and maintain diagnostic equipment cleanliness and functionality

• Collaborate with Radiologists and OB Sonologists for confirmation of results

• Assist in special ultrasound procedures and help manage scheduling or patient inquiries

• Uphold safety protocols, patient confidentiality, and customer service excellence

• Use PACS, Emedcore, and Lifesys systems to record and manage results

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Graduate of BS Radiologic Technology with PRC license (RRT or RXT)

• Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology

• Basic understanding of ultrasound machine troubleshooting

• Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment (or willingness to be trained)

• Can manage multiple patient cases efficiently and professionally

• Tech‑savvy with good documentation habits

• Computer‑proficient; able to multitask in fast‑paced settings

• Calm, compassionate, and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced clinic

• Amenable to rotational shifts with graveyard schedule (5‑day work week, varying rest days)
