Outsourced.ph is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to oversee UK-based group consolidation, month-end close, and statutory accounts. The role is hybrid in the Philippines, reporting to the Group Financial Controller, with line management of a Junior Accountant.
You will handle UK VAT, Make Tax Digital, corporation tax packs, intercompany eliminations, and audit support, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting across entities.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee month-end closing, group consolidation, management reporting, and the preparation of statutory accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax computation packs for a UK-based business.
The role will work closely with the Group Financial Controller, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. It will also involve reviewing reconciliations, supporting external audits, maintaining financial controls, and line-managing a Junior Accountant responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Manage the month-end closing process and ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjusting entries.
Prepare monthly management accounts and departmental reports.
Coordinate the timely submission of financial results from other entities for consolidation.
Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions, balances, turnover, and elimination entries across multiple entities.
Prepare group consolidations across UK, US, and Malaysian entities, including elimination entries.
Generate consolidated financial reports using the relevant reporting system.
Prepare management reporting packs for review by the Group Financial Controller.
Investigate and resolve consolidation discrepancies and intercompany differences.
Review balance sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations prepared by the Junior Accountant, including AP, AR, bank, and goods received not invoiced (GRNI).
Ensure reconciling items are investigated, resolved, and properly documented.
Maintain accurate financial records and a clear audit trail.
Identify and elevate unusual transactions, discrepancies, and control issues.
Prepare draft statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS 102.
Prepare supporting schedules, statutory accounts notes, and year-end audit files.
Support the preparation of consolidated statutory accounts.
Respond to external auditor queries and assist with historical balance restatements.
Prepare quarterly UK VAT returns under Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
Prepare EC sales lists and intra-community statistical reporting data, where applicable.
Prepare corporation tax computation packs for review by external tax advisors.
Maintain transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions.
Line-manage and review the work of the Junior Accountant handling AP and AR.
Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of the team's deliverables.
Maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures.
Ensure appropriate team coverage and continuity of accounting operations.
Professional accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or a recognized local equivalent.
UK accounting standards: Demonstrated experience with UK GAAP and FRS 102, including the preparation of statutory accounts.
Month-end closing: Strong hands‑on experience managing month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and management accounts.
Group consolidation: Experience consolidating financial results across multiple entities, including intercompany transactions and elimination entries.
Reconciliations and controls: Experience reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining sound financial controls.
UK tax and VAT: Experience preparing UK MTD VAT returns and corporation tax computation packs.
External audit: Experience preparing audit schedules and supporting external auditors.
Systems and Excel: Strong Excel skills and experience using an ERP or accounting system.
Communication and ownership: Strong attention to detail, ability to meet strict reporting deadlines, and confidence working independently with a UK-based team.
Experience using Syspro or another ERP system in a multi‑entity environment.
Experience using F9 reporting and consolidation tools.
Background in a manufacturing or product‑based business.
Experience with multi‑currency accounting and intercompany reconciliations.
Experience preparing consolidated statutory accounts at group level.
Previous experience supervising or line‑managing junior accounting staff.
Experience working with international entities, particularly across the UK, US, and Southeast Asia.
Experience maintaining transfer pricing documentation and supporting historical financial restatements.
