Job summary

EastWest Banking Corporation is seeking a Trust Risk Compliance and Governance Officer in Taguig, onsite. The role focuses on overseeing accreditation, risk reporting, and regulatory compliance for TAMG under TRCG.

You will support the TRCG Head in governance activities, prepare committee materials, and help develop policies and process improvements to ensure effective risk management. A strong background in risk, governance, and compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accountancy, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
• MBA or related graduate studies are an advantage.
• Strong understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accreditation of investment outlets, issuers, and brokers and maintain TAMG records.
• Prepare risk and limit monitoring reports and escalate breaches as per policy.
• Coordinate regulatory, audit and compliance requirements with TRCG Head and Trust Committee.
• Assist in governance activities, board materials, and policy development for regulatory compliance.
• Support RCSA, control testing, KRIs, and regulatory updates as needed.
• Represent TAMG in meetings and perform other governance and risk tasks as assigned.

Our Financial Markets and Wealth Management team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Taguig with the role of Trust Risk Compliance and Governance (TRCG) Officer.

In this role, you will support the Trust and Asset Management Group (TAMG) by overseeing investment outlet accreditations and renewals, preparing risk and limit monitoring reports, escalating breaches in accordance with policy, and coordinating regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements. You will also assist the TRCG Head in Trust Committee governance activities, the preparation of board and committee materials, and the development of policies and process improvements to ensure regulatory compliance and effective risk management.

What the role will entail

• Conduct accreditation, evaluation, and periodic reviews of investment outlets, issuers, and brokers, while maintaining up-to-date accreditation records for TAMG.
• Support investment governance by participating in investment strategy discussions, reviewing portfolio management reports, and assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations for the Trust Committee.
• Prepare and monitor risk management reports, exception reports, liquidity contingency plans, and compliance metrics, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of identified issues.
• Assist in the development, review, and enhancement of policies, procedures, and process improvements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Support risk and compliance management activities, including RCSA and control testing, Key Risk Indicator reporting, risk incident monitoring, audit issue tracking, and regulatory updates.
• Represent TAMG in meetings and stakeholder engagements as needed and perform other governance, compliance, and risk management functions assigned by the TRCG Head or Trust Officer.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accountancy, Economics, Mathematics, or any related field; graduate studies in Finance, Research, or an MBA are an advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in Trust, risk management, compliance, internal audit, or related functions, with exposure to investment outlet accreditation and investment operations.
• Preferably a Certified Trust Professional (CTP) or has completed the Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines (TIFP) Trust program.
• Strong understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and trust business operations.
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to assess risks, identify issues, and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, engage stakeholders, and present recommendations effectively.
• Results-driven team player who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively with minimal supervision.
