We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to transport materials such as gravel, sand, or debris to and from construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a dump truck, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Transport Materials: Safely drive a dump truck to and from construction sites, delivering and picking up materials like sand, gravel, and debris.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the dump truck, including checking fluids, tires, and brakes. Report any mechanical issues to maintenance teams.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary. Ensure proper unloading techniques to avoid damage or spillage.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned routes and adjust to traffic conditions or construction site requirements, ensuring timely delivery.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Ensure the truck complies with weight limits and safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate trip logs, record material loads, and report any incidents or delays.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain professional communication with site supervisors or clients during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience driving dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- License: Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with endorsement to operate dump trucks. Clean driving record.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of dump truck operations, including loading and unloading materials, and route planning.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy materials (when required).
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Safety-Conscious: Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to safe driving practices.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certifications related to commercial driving is a plus.
