Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is seeking an engineer to design and develop automotive manual transmissions (gearbox). The role covers transmission packaging, gear and differential design, 3D CAD modeling, and CAE analysis to support development and testing.

You will work on NVH investigations, root-cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust gearbox performance. Proactive, self-driven teamwork and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• CAD proficiency with focus on gear systems and tolerance analysis.
• Experience in design of gears, shafts, synchronizers, shift systems, and differentials.
• 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawings for gearbox components.
• Designer CAE analysis experience to support product development.
• Knowledge of gear design software Romax and KISSsoft.
• Familiarity with tolerance stack-up, DFMEA, FTA, and basic project management.

Responsibilities

• Design and package transmission and drive-train components within vehicle architecture.
• Create gears, shafts, synchronizers, shift systems, differentials, and gearbox components.
• Produce 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for gearbox parts.
• Provide CAE support and engineering analysis for gearbox projects.
• Support NVH investigations, testing, and root-cause analysis.
