Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking financial due diligence professionals to join a growing Deals Advisory team. You will lead end-to-end due diligence engagements on live buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, collaborating with client management and an international onshore-connected team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; professional designations encouraged.
• 5–7 years for Assistant Manager; 7–10 years for Manager in advisory roles.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and core accounting concepts.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and strong Word/PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; leadership for Manager level.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end financial due diligence for M&A transactions (buy-side and sell-side).
• Prepare and review transaction workbooks/databooks to firm standards with minimal rework.
• Analyze financial statements — trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, cash flows.
• Draft sections of FDD/VDD reports including Background, QoE, and Summary Financials.
• Set up and analyze Net Working Capital and Debt items; manage data gathering.
• Prepare management discussion decks and lead sections of management meetings.
• Review and coach junior team members; build relationships with onshore teams.
• Support proposal preparation and business development activities.

About the Company

A leading global professional services firm's Deals Advisory practice, delivering financial due diligence support for M&A transactions across Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. This is a newly established, build-out team — a rare opportunity to join early and help shape how the practice grows in the Philippines.

About the Role

We're looking for financial due diligence professionals to join a growing Deals Advisory team, supporting live buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions. You'll lead end-to-end due diligence engagements, work directly with client and target company management, and play a key role in shaping the insights that inform real deal decisions — all while working alongside an international, onshore-connected team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end financial due diligence on M&A transactions (buy-side and sell-side)
• Prepare and review transaction workbooks/databooks to firm standards, with minimal rework
• Analyze financial statements — trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, cash flows — to identify trends and issues
• Draft key sections of FDD/VDD reports, including Background, Quality of Earnings (QoE), Summary Financials, and Points of Interest
• Set up and analyze Net Working Capital and Debt/Debt-like items
• Prepare management discussion decks and lead sections of management meetings
• Manage document request lists and data gathering throughout the engagement
• Review and coach junior team members work
• Build strong working relationships with onshore engagement teams
• Support proposal preparation and business development activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; CA / MBA / CFA / M.Com / PG in Commerce (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5–7 years of relevant experience for Assistant Manager; 7–10 years for Manager, ideally in professional services, transaction advisory, or related analytical/strategy roles
• Solid understanding of financial statements, financial ratio analysis, and core accounting concepts
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas); strong Word and PowerPoint skills
• Strong analytical skills — operational and financial analysis, benchmarking, trend analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• For Manager level: demonstrated team leadership/people management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Big 4 or equivalent Transaction Advisory Services firms
• Direct M&A/deal experience (buy-side or sell-side)
• Exposure across multiple industries (e.g., manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, healthcare, financial services, technology)
• Proficiency in Alteryx, Power BI, or similar analytical/technology tools
