Job summary

Magsaysay Shipping & Logistics is seeking a Truck Driver to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of cargo using company trailers, tractors, and other vehicles. The role emphasizes adherence to regulatory requirements and the security of cargo throughout the transport process.

The position requires a minimum of 2 years' experience and a valid Professional Driver's License with appropriate classifications for truck trailer operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned truck trailers, tractors, and other Company vehicles safely, responsibly, and efficiently.
• Drive assigned routes and transport cargo in accordance with schedules and requirements.
• Maneuver vehicles safely within ports, terminals, warehouses, and yards.
• Park and secure vehicles during loading, unloading, waiting, or after trips.
• Verify cargo details against transport documents before departure and upon delivery.
• Deliver cargo to designated locations accurately and within timelines.
• Report cargo shortages, damages, seal discrepancies, or irregularities to supervisor.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Perform basic vehicle upkeep and housekeeping to maintain readiness.
• Identify and report mechanical defects and maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure proper handling and turnover of cargo and transport documents.
• Obtain signatures and clearances per Company procedures.
• Safeguard documents from loss or misuse.
• Submit trip tickets, delivery receipts, fuel records, and reports on time.
• Comply with traffic laws, safety standards, client requirements, and regulations.

The role ensures that shipments are delivered in accordance with operational requirements, company procedures, and applicable regulations while maintaining the security and integrity of cargo throughout the transport process.

Job Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

• Report any cargo shortages, damages, seal discrepancies, or irregularities immediately to the appropriate supervisor.

• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure that assigned vehicles are roadworthy and safe for operation.

• Perform basic vehicle upkeep and housekeeping to maintain cleanliness and operational readiness.

• Identify and promptly report mechanical defects, equipment malfunctions, and maintenance requirements
