Job summary

JC Advance Cargo Inc is seeking an experienced Trailer Truck Driver to join our transport operations team in the Port Area, Manila City. This full-time role involves safely transporting cargo across the region and requires reliable, professional driving and a strong commitment to safety.

You will perform vehicle inspections, adhere to traffic laws, and maintain delivery records while coordinating with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid professional driver's licence for heavy vehicles with a clean driving record.
• 2-3 years' experience driving trailer trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
• In-depth knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws in the Philippines.
• Excellent vehicle handling skills and the ability to navigate challenging road and port conditions.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to identify and report basic vehicle issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive trailer trucks carrying cargo to various destinations within and around Metro Manila.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the trailer truck is in optimal working condition.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, speed limits, and safety regulations while transporting goods.
• Load and unload cargo in accordance with weight distribution guidelines and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage or loss during transit.
• Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays promptly to management.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and conduct.
• Comply with company policies, industry regulations, and port authority requirements.

As a Trailer Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, safely transporting cargo and goods to destinations across the region. What we're looking for

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience driving trailer trucks or similar heavy vehicles
• In-depth knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws in the Philippines
• Excellent vehicle handling skills and the ability to navigate challenging road and port conditions
• Strong mechanical knowledge to identify and report basic vehicle issues
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
• Physical fitness to perform loading and unloading tasks and operate vehicle controls for extended periods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to safety and professionalism
• Knowledge of port operations and cargo handling procedures is preferred
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and delivery tracking software is advantageous
