Responsibilities

• Operate trailers or articulated trucks to transport goods locally or over long distances.


• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring secure and damage-free transport.


• Inspect vehicles before and after trips and submit inspection reports.


• Ensure cargo is properly secured and complies with weight regulations.


• Maintain daily driver logs and vehicle inspection reports.


• Comply with traffic laws, regulations, and company policies at all times.


• Communicate with dispatchers for route updates, delays, and deliveries.


• Report any mechanical issues or delays promptly.


• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in good condition.


• Assist with basic maintenance checks like oil, tire pressure, and fluid levels.


• Follow all safety protocols, especially in handling hazardous materials.


• Operate dump trucks to transport construction materials to and from job sites.


• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition.


• Load and unload materials safely, ensuring proper balance and weight distribution.


• Monitor the condition of the load and secure it to avoid spillage during transit.


• Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.


• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or mechanical failures promptly.


• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the assigned vehicle.


• Keep accurate daily logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and work hours.


• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and coworkers regarding delivery schedules and instructions.


• Follow proper dumping procedures to avoid damage to the truck or surrounding property.
