Job summary

BUCG Co., Ltd. - Philippines Branch is seeking a Traffic Engineer in Calamba, Laguna to plan, analyze, and implement traffic management solutions for road projects.

The role ensures safe, efficient traffic flow during construction and upon completion in line with DPWH standards. You will develop TMPs, conduct traffic studies, design detours, coordinate with engineers and agencies, and ensure correct signage and safety device installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC) is advantageous.
• 3–5 years of experience in traffic engineering or road/highway construction projects.
• Knowledge of traffic management planning and road safety standards.
• Familiarity with DPWH guidelines and temporary traffic control schemes.
• Experience with traffic simulation or planning tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; CAD software (AutoCAD) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Traffic Management Plans (TMP) for construction activities.
• Conduct traffic studies, including volume counts, flow analysis, and impact assessments.
• Design temporary traffic schemes such as detours, lane closures, and diversion routes.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and government agencies on traffic arrangements and approvals.
• Ensure proper installation and compliance of traffic signage, road markings, and safety devices.
• Monitor traffic conditions on-site and recommend improvements or adjustments as needed.
• Prepare traffic-related reports, plans, and documentation for project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with DPWH, LGU, and road safety standards and regulations.
