Job description

Join our Investment Middle Office Service (IMOS) team as an Assistant Vice President, where you will manage the day-to-day operations of post-trade activities for clients, including instruction capture, trade matching, confirmation, settlement, claims management, and reconciliations. This dynamic role provides an in-depth view of the end-to-end trade lifecycle on the IMOS strategic platform.

As an Assistant Vice President in IMOS, you will be responsible for the operational management and control of daily workflows across post-trade execution processes. You will lead a team of trade and reconciliation specialists, promote an inclusive environment, and drive continuous process improvement and strategies in IMOS.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of trade and reconciliation specialists, providing coaching and monitoring performance based on clear objectives.
  • Manage and ensure application of controls across end-to-end post-trade execution functions and various asset types.
  • Perform balance and transactional reconciliation of client records against street, providing root cause analysis and resolving exceptions.
  • Develop partnerships across global teams to create long-term solutions for client issues and ensure timely matching and instruction settlement.
  • Manage new business initiatives from clients to support business expansion opportunities.
  • Lead and support global and local projects on digital solutions, system enhancements, and market rule changes.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Knowledge of financial products such as Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Collateral, Derivatives, Money Market, and Cash Products.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong people management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to proactively identify risks and escalate issues, undertaking investigations to resolve them.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the initiative to drive change and enhance controls.
  • Ability to thrive in a changing work environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Prior knowledge of the trade lifecycle, fund accounting, and/or experience supporting trade business.
  • Self-starter who works in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in automation tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath, and Instabase.
