Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional to join the Manila-based team as Trade and Position Management Processor - Equities Client Service. The role focuses on middle office operations, client service, and daily trade processing within the Cash Equity space.

You will work within the Equities franchise under the Market Securities Services Operations umbrella, supporting HBAP Cash Equity businesses with timely issue resolution and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train across functions to support multiple Equity desk activities.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Trade and Position Management Processor - Equities Client Service.

The role holder will be part of the Equities franchise under Market Securities Services Operations (MSSO) umbrella. The business covers products in the Cash Equity space. The scope of the Cash EQ Middle Office team in Manila comprises middle office operations and includes client services manager role.

The role holder will support HBAP Cash Equity businesses. Role holder must establish good relationship with internal counterparties and clients in order to resolve and manage issues related to the businesses promptly.

Middle Office Client Services (MOCS) Assistant Manager will be responsible for performing complex and client-focused operational tasks in support of the daily trade executions in the Equities business. The AM should have an extensive understanding of the trade life cycle, be able to work independently, and be able to make sound decisions with the information on hand, if faced with daily issues.

Principal responsibilities

• Responsible for daily trade processing of allocations and confirmations on assigned clients
• Address trade exceptions by liaising with various operations teams (i.e. front office, static, settlements, reconciliations) to respond to issues in a timely and accurately manner based on SLAs.
• Work with internal parties closely to solve operational issues including break resolution.
• Timely Escalation of critical issues to Stakeholders
• Focus on ensuring the individual is fully cross trained on the various functions needed to fulfil the role. Support the collaborative working across all the various Equity departments onshore/ offshore.
• Manage queues ensuring trades feed promptly into the settlement system
• Ensure timely collation and distribution of internal reports in conjunction with desk controls such as the Cancel/Amend, late booked, and long dated reports
• Ensure any transaction reporting rejections are resolved in a timely manner
• Ensure all daily checklist tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Demonstrate a high standard of client service from the team to internal and external stakeholders.
