Job summary

San Miguel Corporation, as the parent company of SMC Infrastructure, is seeking a Power and Third Rail Technician for MRT7 project operations in Metro Manila. The role focuses on comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance of power systems and third-rail equipment to ensure reliable train service.

The technician will conduct inspections, follow a strict maintenance schedule, adhere to LOTO safety protocols, and contribute to MMS data updates.

Qualifications

• Vocational certification or engineering diploma required.
• Graduate in Mechanical/Electrical/Electromechanical/Electronics or related technical field acceptable.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine visual inspections of high-voltage traction power equipment.
• Execute maintenance schedule for transformers, switchgear, and third-rail components.
• Conduct cleaning and detailed inspections of switchgear systems.
• Troubleshoot faults to restore train service and maintain reliability.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety and Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Update Maintenance Management System with status reports on tools and equipment.
