Qualifications

About the role

LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP. is seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our manufacturing team in Balagtas, Bulacan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our assembly and process work operations. As a Tig Welder, you will be responsible for performing precision welding operations that are essential to the quality and integrity of our steel products. This role is integral to maintaining our high manufacturing standards and meeting production targets.

What you'll be doing

• Performing TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on steel components using both manual and semi-automated equipment
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and welding specifications to ensure accurate work
• Preparing work pieces by cleaning, cutting and positioning materials for welding
• Inspecting completed welds for quality, strength and adherence to specifications
• Operating welding equipment safely and maintaining equipment in good working condition
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards
• Following all health and safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Identifying and reporting equipment issues or defects promptly

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a TIG welder or in a similar welding role within manufacturing or assembly environments
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, safety practices and industry standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Proficiency in operating TIG welding equipment and related tools
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Valid welding certifications or qualifications (preferred)
• Previous experience in steel or metal fabrication manufacturing (advantageous)
