Job summary

Cohu, Inc. is seeking a production test technician to inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble/assemble, repair and test SEG products and modules. You will work with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and current probes to ensure products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include identifying failures, proposing corrective actions, maintaining safety in the test area and keeping daily status logs for on-time delivery of tasks. Lean initiatives are part of daily practice.

Qualifications

• Performs inspection, troubleshooting and repair to Cohu SEG products and modules.
• Follows established quality and safety standards.
• Participates in Lean and continuous improvement activities.

1. Performs Inspection, troubleshooting, dis-assembly/assembly, repair and test of Cohu SEG New and RMA product and its modules.

2. Recognizes failures and set up problems encountered during system testing and formulate corrective action plans.

3. Operates multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, current probes, thermometers, and special test equipment.

4. Ensures on-time delivery of job assignments as directed by his superiors.

5. Provides real time escalation of test issues that may impact completion of task.

6. Supports Test Engineering initiatives on Lean and other continuous improvement activities.

7. Maintains the safekeeping of all test tools and equipment in Test area.

8. Responsible for maintaining daily status logs and reports.

9. Performs task in accordance with established quality and safety standards.
