Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Manual Tester in Metro Manila to review requirements and design test scenarios across functional, SIT, regression, and UAT phases. The role emphasizes defect identification and collaboration with development and business teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of manual testing experience, is able to work onsite in Ortigas Pasig on dayshift, and can start ASAP (Aug 17 tentative).

Job Description:

Manual Tester is responsible for reviewing requirements and project documentation to design and execute test scenarios and test cases across functional, SIT, regression, and UAT phases. The role involves identifying defects, collaborating with development and business teams for issue resolution, and ensuring test coverage and quality standards are met. The tester provides regular status updates, supports troubleshooting and defect triage, and contributes to continuous improvement through innovative ideas. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and independent working skills are essential.

• Well understanding of STLC process and Testing Methodologies.




• Review requirements, specifications, user documentation and other project documentation for the tests to be developed.




• Create test scenarios and test cases and brainstorm with Team and BA.




• Execute all the test cases (Functional, SIT and Regression), also participate in the UAT.




• Documents scripts with comments to provide insight to test logic.
  Should have good experience in Providing estimates and status updates on automation scripts.
