Responsibilities:

  1. Validation of functional testing results including electrical and mechanical systems of each product line.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing test issues by collaborating with quality assurance, design, and operations teams, often using root cause analysis methods.
  3. Perform verifications of manufacturing processes and test equipment to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and regulatory requirements.
  4. Train and mentor technicians on testing methodologies and equipment use.
  5. Analyze test data and product/process performance metrics to identify defects, improve first pass yield, and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Support continuous improvement in testing processes, cost reduction initiatives, yield improvements, and efficiency enhancements to meet business objectives.
  7. Set up initial testing for new products or programs, including instructions, equipment, and documentation.
  8. Monitor First Pass Yield.
  9. Support Customer Quality by addressing inquiries and complaints related to testing.
  10. Promote safety practices and the 5S methodology.

Qualifications:

  1. College graduate, preferably with an Engineering degree.
  2. Knowledgeable in Manufacturing Assembly Processes, process sheets, work instructions, or assembly manuals.
  3. Multi-skilled within the work area.
  4. Proficient in engineering tools, especially CORE analytical tools & techniques.
  5. Experience in a manufacturing environment with modelled engineering data and configuration control via PLM systems like Teamcenter.
  6. Understanding of materials and tolerances of components and assemblies.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
