Alstom in the Philippines invites applications for a Temporary Operation Manager (Train Operations Manager) to oversee field testing, managing access, power supply and rail traffic in test environments.

The role requires an engineering degree, 15+ years overall experience with 8–10 years in train operations, strong leadership and budget planning, and a focus on safety. You will collaborate with system test managers, train managers, and external partners across multinational projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from a recognised school.
• Minimum 15+ years of professional experience.
• 8–10 years in Train operations with senior expert level in mainline & Depot.
• Experience in management including budget, planning and resources.
• Broad knowledge of railway projects and safety on construction sites.
• Strong leadership, initiative, and decision-making skills.
• Professional-level English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define temporary operation rules and procedures for safe testing activities.
• Recruit, train, and manage the Temporary Operation team.
• Manage access permits for works along tracks, depots, stations, and substations.
• Operate traction power supply locally and remotely.
• Ensure all safety and operational restrictions are followed.
• Produce and update documents and drawings for Temporary Operations.
• Coordinate activities across entities to ensure smooth operations.
• Assess on-site risks and implement additional rules as needed.
• Register and analyse incidents to identify root causes.
• Organise data collection and produce regular operational statistics.
