Job summary

Western Digital Corporation in Binan City, Laguna, Philippines, is seeking a Technician IV in Manufacturing to support production quality, process optimization, and equipment qualification.

You will perform KIV checks on tool parameters, assist with equipment qualifications, support yield improvement initiatives, and help with experimental builds and engineering trials. Open to onsite, shifting schedules, with free medical examination.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Computer Technology, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of work experience in electronics or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of equipment setup, qualification, tool conversion, and process verification activities.
• Experience supporting process engineers with yield improvement initiatives and engineering trials is an advantage.
• Industry exposure in Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs KIV checking for the tool critical parameters such as clamping speed, picker teaching, and other defined check items.
• Performs other tasks assigned by process engineers for yield improvement.
• Support engineer for addressing quality issues for both internal and external customers.
• Support other experimental builds from PM, slider fab, and other trials.
• Attend PIS (stoppage, coordinate for repair and qualification).
• Perform qualification after tool setup and conversion.
• Build test piece for Line maintenance use.

Job Description

As a Technician IV, Manufacturing,you will be responsible for supporting production quality, process optimization, and equipment qualification within the manufacturing environment. Your key responsibilities include performing KIV checks on critical tool parameters, conducting equipment qualifications following setup and conversion activities, supporting yield improvement initiatives led by process engineers, and assisting with experimental builds and engineering trials. You also provide technical support in resolving quality issues for both internal and external customers, participate in ASM line OCAP activities while addressing feedback from backend teams, and build test pieces for line maintenance to ensure stable, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology,Electromechanical Technology, Computer Technology, IndustrialTechnology, Electrical Technology, or a related field of study.
• At least 4yearsof workexperience in the relevant field.
• Knowledge of equipment setup, qualification, tool conversion, and process verification activities.
• Experience supporting process engineers with yield improvement initiatives and engineering trials is an advantage.
• Industry exposure in Electronics orSemiconductorManufacturing setup is highly preferred.

Skills and Competency Requirements:

• Understanding of equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and quality issue resolution for internal and external customers.
• Ability to perform equipment qualification following setup, model, or configuration changes while ensuring compliance with established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions accurately.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, maintenance personnel, and cross-functional teams.
• Able to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
