Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to sustain and maintain equipment across Front of Line, End of Line, and Test assembly areas in Laguna.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform PMs, dismantle and reassemble equipment according to manuals, and work with engineers and supervisors on improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electronics/Electrical, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Male, not more than 40 years old.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and maintain electro-mechanical equipment across Front of Line, End of Line or Test Assembly.
• Perform electrical/electronic or mechanical troubleshooting and PMs as assigned.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and reassemble equipment per layouts and manuals.
• Use test/diagnostic equipment to checkout and rebuild equipment as required.

Job Description

Responsible in sustaining and maintenance of electro mechanical equipments, jigs, toolings and logistics at Front of Line, End of Line (Back End) or Test assembly.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs electrical, electronics or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Perform PM as assigned.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
• May perform equipment modifications and projects as directed by manufacturing engineer, supervisor or manager.
