Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Technician I-Equipment to sustain and maintain electro-mechanical equipment used in Front of Line, End of Line, or Test assembly. You will perform PMs, troubleshoot issues, dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment according to drawings and manuals.

We require 5+ years in a semiconductor environment, strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with Windows, MS Office, and basic PLC. Travel is not required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics or Instrumentation & Control.
• 5+ years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office; basic PLC literacy.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and maintain electro-mechanical equipment, jigs, tooling, and logistics at Front of Line, End of Line or Test assembly.
• Perform electrical, electronics, or mechanical troubleshooting to identify problems in non-functioning equipment.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble equipment according to layout plans, manuals, or drawings.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts; rebuild manufacturing equipment as needed.
• May perform equipment modifications and projects as directed by manufacturing engineer, supervisor, or manager.
