Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Senior Associate Technical Lead SRE to advance reliability, observability, security, and operational excellence across Markets and Risk Intelligence. You will lead hands-on efforts, collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Security, and Platform teams, and guide global groups in building reliability into new and existing platforms from day one.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on SRE or related roles.
• Experience with AWS services including EKS, ECS, EC2, IAM.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes and containerised platforms.
• Proven ability to design and operate observability platforms (metrics, logs, traces).
• Hands-on Datadog for metrics, logs, APM and alerts.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles and incident management.
• Experience collaborating with architecture and engineering teams on system design.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and risk management.
• Familiarity with FinOps in ML/AI contexts.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI with observability stacks.

Responsibilities

• Lead establishment of SRE foundations for new projects, including monitoring, alerting, and readiness.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering to embed reliability, security, and observability into designs.
• Define and champion observability standards, tooling, and guidelines across metrics, logs, traces, and SLIs/SLOs.
• Design and evolve monitoring/alerting solutions to improve visibility and reduce toil.
• Drive reliability improvements through incidents, performance tuning, and resilient patterns.
• Partner with security to meet compliance and risk-management expectations.
• Oversee handovers from project delivery to BAU SRE operations with solid documentation.
• Influence cloud cost optimization and efficient architectural decisions.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of learning and engineering excellence.
