Compensation range: $3,000 - $4,000 AUD/month

Engagement type:Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 10 AM - 6 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview:

We're looking for an experienced .NET CMS Tech Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping the client's engineering capability while remaining hands‑on with development. This role combines technical leadership, solution architecture, and full-stack engineering. You'll mentor developers, lead technical decision‑making, design scalable CMS solutions, and work directly with clients to solve complex technical challenges. You'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle—from discovery and solution architecture through development, deployment, and post‑launch support—while helping elevate engineering standards across the business.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with a .NET CMS platform (Umbraco highly preferred)
• Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, and/or .NET Core
• Experience designing and building scalable web applications
• Strong database development, optimisation, and administration skills
• Solid understanding of front‑end technologies and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting technical solutions
• Strong understanding of secure software development and application security
• Knowledge of penetration testing principles and security best practices
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills
