Job summary

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Technical Expert – Process in Mining and Quarrying to join our growing team in Manila. In this role, you will apply deep mining and quarrying expertise to support audits, certification, and compliance across operations.

You will guide clients on process optimization, help maintain management systems, and contribute to our knowledge base while mentoring junior auditors.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on mining/quarrying experience across ornamental stone, limestone, gypsum, slate, and related processes.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
• Proven ability to identify gaps in operations and compliance and guide remediation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments and audits of mining and quarrying operations.
• Evaluate compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance on process optimization and best practices.
• Support clients in implementing and maintaining management systems.
• Develop technical documentation and audit protocols.
• Mentor junior auditors and technical staff.
• Contribute to Bureau Veritas's knowledge base and training materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments and audits of mining and quarrying operations
• Evaluate compliance with relevant ISO standards and regulatory requirements
• Provide expert guidance on process optimization and best practices
• Support clients in implementing and maintaining management systems
• Develop technical documentation and audit protocols
• Mentor junior auditors and technical staff
• Contribute to Bureau Veritas's technical knowledge base and training materials

Required Qualifications

Essential Experience:

• Extensive working experience in mining and quarrying operations, specifically with:
  • Ornamental stone extraction
  • Limestone quarrying
  • Gypsum mining
  • Slate extraction
  • Other stone mining/quarrying processes
• In-depth, hands‑on knowledge of core processes across the above sectors
• Demonstrated ability to identify operational and compliance gaps

Standards & Compliance Knowledge:

• Working knowledge ofISO 9001:2015(Quality Management Systems)
• Working knowledge ofISO 14001:2015(Environmental Management Systems)
• Working knowledge ofISO 45001:2018(Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems)
• Familiarity with mining and quarrying regulatory frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Audit or certification experience (internal or third-party)
• Knowledge of additional relevant standards (e.g., ISO 19001, sector‑specific standards)
• Experience with mining safety protocols and risk management
• Technical writing or documentation skills
• Training or mentoring experience
