Mimacom in Spain is seeking a Technical Consultant to design and implement data-centric, event-driven architectures for global clients.

You will work on Kafka-based solutions, define architectures, collaborate with client technical teams, and help improve performance while sharing knowledge across practices.

Qualifications

• Experience as a technical consultant with a background in software architecture.
• Experience designing event-oriented platforms based on Confluent/Kafka.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive and open-minded, passionate about open source, new technologies and agile development.
• Strong organizational skills and a customer orientation.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Based in Spain or willing to relocate.
• Experience with Confluent Stack, Kafka, Java 21, Microservices with Spring Boot, Docker/Kubernetes, Azure, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience trainings to technical teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions and participate in their implementation, collecting needs, providing estimates, proposing approaches.
• Define technical architectures and integration with external systems, focusing on Kafka-based solutions.
• Help improve performance and implement improvements.
• Coordinate clients' technical teams.
• Act as reference and SME for teams, clients and stakeholders on event-oriented platforms across technologies.
• Collaborate in communities of practice to deepen knowledge on design principles and software development.

What Youll Do:

As part of our team, your contributions will play a part in helping today’s leading companies stay ahead, since you will collaborate with some of the most exciting companies in Europe. Heres an overview of what youll be doing:

• Design of technical solutions and participation in their implementation, actively collecting needs and requirements, providing estimates, proposing and advisingon different approaches.
• Definition of technical architectures and integration of the solutions with external systems, with a focus on Kafka-based solutions.
• Help improving the performance of the final solution, providing improvements and helping to implement them.
• Responsibility for the coordination of the clients technical teams.
• Acting as a point of reference and subject-matter expert for teams, clients and stakeholders,to whomyou will demonstrate a high level of know- how in event-oriented platforms on different technologies (Kafka, Elastic, etc.)
• You will collaborate in communities of practice in order to deepen, share and acquire knowledge about design principles, types of architecture and software development in general.

What Youll Need:

We are seeking individuals who are team players with an analytical mindset. Beyond that, you’ll succeed in this role if you’ve got the following qualifications:

• Experience as a technical consultant, with a background in software architecture.
• Experience participating in design tasks for event-oriented platforms based on Confluent/Kafka.
• You can communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive and open-minded personality, with a passion for open source, new technologies and agile software development.
• Good organization skills and a clear customer orientation.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Experience with the following technologies is a must:
• Confluent Stack, Kafka, Java 21, Microservices with Spring Boot, Docker / Kubernetes, Azure, REST APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures, Experience integrating third-party systems and APIs
• Experience providing trainings to technical teams will also be a plus.
• You are based in Spain, or are willing to relocat
