• A Teacher for Special Education (or Special Education Teacher) works with students who have physical, emotional, mental, or learning disabilities. The role involves tailoring lessons and educational materials to meet the individual needs of each student, creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, school counselors, and other staff.
• Modify and adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Use assistive technologies and specialized materials to support learning.
