Overview

Air Liquide Philippines, a fully owned subsidiary of Air Liquide Group, started its operations in 1994 and currently employs 230+ people. We operate air separation units (ASU), hydrogen plants, carbon dioxide plants, cylinder refilling stations and depots, on-site plants and pipelines nationwide. Our main plant is situated in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, and our head office is in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. We serve a wide spectrum of markets and industries including electronics, food processing, pharmaceuticals, metals, automotive, shipbuilding, and hospitals. Air Liquide Philippines is ISO 9001:2008 certified as well as GMP certified for medical oxygen. In addition, our liquid carbon dioxide plant in Pasig City filled the requirements for Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000) for the manufacture of this gas as a food additive.

Role

We are looking for a Tax Manager who will be responsible for BIR compliance management, PEZA compliance, compliance health check, audit report & LGU compliance. As an individual contributor, you will oversee end to end taxation operations to ensure compliance to Government and Accounting Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation, e-filing, and e-payment of all tax-related compliance obligations.
  • Maintain file retention for VAT and Withholding Tax documents.
  • Reconcile filed tax with issued Creditable Withholding Tax Certificates and Final Tax.
  • Submit the Monthly Alphalist to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
  • Perform Balance Sheet reconciliation for VAT and Withholding Tax accounts.
  • Ensure accurate posting of monthly closing entries for tax accounts.
  • Analyze tax components of all entries to verify proper posting and request adjustments.
  • Monitor CWT mailbox for timely handling of requests, queries, and disputes related to tax certificates.
  • Provide advice on tax matters concerning daily operations and projects.
  • Analyze, prepare, and file VAT and Withholding Tax returns for PEZA and non-PEZA registered entities.
  • Annual preparation of reports like the Tax Incentives Management and Transparency Act (TIMTA) report for PEZA.
  • Assist in Income Tax Holiday (ITH) Validation for prior and new projects, including document preparation and compliance with PEZA Clearance requirements.
  • Prepare required reports and provide documents based on the CAS to external auditors.
  • Address auditor inquiries related to taxation.
  • Maintain up-to-date Real Property Tax details and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct Fixed Assets Count and Tagging to account for all movements.
  • Prepare necessary documents for business permit renewal across all sites.
  • Handle payment of annual and quarterly business taxes in LGUs where sites are located.
Requirements
  • Degree in accountancy or taxation.
  • Certified Public Accountant is preferred.
  • Preferable 5-7 years of tax experience in a multinational/manufacturing industry/Audit Firm.
  • Well in Philippines taxation knowledge.
  • Possess PEZA handling experience will be a plus.
  • Ability to deal with local government agencies.
  • Well-organised and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently.
