Responsibilities

• Assist the Corporate Tax Department Head.
• Consult top management on tax laws, rules and regulations affecting operations.
• Issue written opinions on tax-related concerns raised by Finance, Operations and others.
• Liaise with other department heads on matters concerning tax administration.
• Recommend process improvements for manual or computerized systems.
• Conduct planning activities to set departmental targets.
• Issue memos to Tax Department personnel for guidance.
• Report risks and exposures to top management with mitigation recommendations.

Job description

• Assist the Corporate Tax Department Head.

• Act as a consultant to top management on tax laws, rules and regulations that may affect or impact operations.

• Issues written opinion on tax-related concerns raised by Finance, Operations and other functions concerned.

• Liaises with other department heads on matters concerning tax administration.

• Recommends, when necessary, process improvements, be they on manual or computerized systems.

• Conducts planning activities to set departmental targets.

• Issue memos to Tax Department personnel for guidance on the manner of accomplishing the department's objectives, specific or general.

• Report risks and exposures on certain practices to top management and give recommendations on how to mitigate, if not avoid, such risks.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.

• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant

• With at least 7 years of related work experience.

• Knowledgeable in financial analysis, accounting principles, systems & procedures.

• With extensive background in tax.

• Strong communication skills.
