Arvin International Marketing Inc. seeks an experienced Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, reporting, planning and risk management for its importation and distribution business in salt, chemicals, rice, and related agricultural products.
You will lead tax computations, audits, and advisory work for management, ensuring accurate tax accounting and adherence to Philippine tax laws and BIR regulations. Strong leadership and ERP experience are essential.
The Tax Manager oversees the company’s tax compliance, reporting, planning, and risk management activities for its importation and distribution business covering salt, chemicals, rice, and other agricultural products. The role ensures compliance with BIR regulations and applicable tax laws while providing tax guidance to management and strengthening the company’s overall tax position.
Lead and oversee the company’s tax compliance and reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely submission of BIR returns and regulatory requirements.
Manage tax compliance covering VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, importation-related taxes, and other applicable taxes.
Review tax computations, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and proper tax treatment.
Oversee tax accounting and ensure proper reconciliation of tax-related accounts.
Review the tax implications of importation, purchases, sales, inventory, and other business transactions.
Lead the preparation and coordination of BIR audits, tax assessments, investigations, and other tax-related engagements.
Monitor changes in tax laws, BIR issuances, and regulations and assess their impact on the business.
Provide tax advice and guidance to management and various departments on business transactions and tax matters.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position while ensuring compliance.
Identify potential tax risks and implement appropriate controls and mitigation measures.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, BIR, and other government agencies as necessary.
Lead, supervise, and develop the tax team to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of tax requirements.
Establish and improve tax policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Prepare tax-related reports and analysis for management decision-making.
Perform other tax and accounting-related duties as assigned by management.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant tax experience, with supervisory or managerial experience.
Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, and tax compliance requirements.
Extensive experience in VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and tax reconciliation.
Proven experience handling BIR audits, tax assessments, and tax investigations.
Experience in importation, trading, distribution, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
Knowledge of importation-related taxes and customs regulations is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced in SAP or other ERP systems.
Strong tax planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
