Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license or CPA certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in tax preparation, compliance, or public accounting.
• Knowledge of US federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine tax filings for individuals, businesses, partnerships, and trusts across federal, state, and local levels
• Support tax planning strategies and research to identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Monitor compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Review financial records, statements, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain required financial information and address tax-related concerns.
• Provide assistance during IRS and state tax examinations by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Work closely with senior tax team members in handling client accounts and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Use tax preparation software and other digital tools to facilitate efficient and accurate tax processing.
• Stay informed of tax law updates and pursue ongoing learning to strengthen technical expertise.
