The Back Room Limited, based in the Philippines, is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Professional to join our accounting and advisory team. You will prepare and review US federal and state tax returns for individuals and entities and assist with planning and research to optimize client tax positions.

You will ensure compliance with tax laws, review financial statements, gather client information, and support senior colleagues in managing client relationships.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of tax preparation and compliance experience.
• Strong understanding of US federal and state tax laws.
• Proficient with tax software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Assist with tax planning and research to provide strategic tax advice to clients.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and related tax documents.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and clarify tax-related issues.
• Assist with IRS and state tax audits, including gathering information and responding to inquiries.
• Support senior tax professionals in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality service.
• Utilize tax software and other tools to efficiently complete tax-related tasks.
• Participate in continuous professional development to enhance technical tax knowledge and skills.
