Job summary

Chromaesthetics Inc is seeking a Tax Associate to support the Tax Accountant in tax accounting activities and ensuring tax compliance. You will prepare tax schedules and related filings, collaborating within the Accounting and Finance Department.

The role requires a degree in Accounting/Finance and at least 1 year in tax compliance, with Netsuite or similar software experience. You’ll contribute to audits and tax-related reconciliations, helping keep accurate tax records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in the preparation of tax returns, extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments, and other tax compliance.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end income tax provisions and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and assist in the creation of documents to support internal/external auditors and Tax Accountant.
• Review accounts, activity, and prepare reconciliations of income tax balances and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain and reconcile tax related accounts.
• Update of Company's Books of Accounts.
• Provide assistance on matters relating to tax audits and other compliance initiatives.

Job Overview:

The Tax Associate supports the Tax Accountant in performing tax accounting activities and ensuring tax compliance. This role involves preparing and maintaining tax schedules, primarily related to income and associated taxes, while collaborating on projects and assignments within the Accounting and Finance Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare or assist in the preparation of tax returns, extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments, and other tax compliance, including but not limited to tracking all compliance and filing status.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end income tax provisions and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and assist in the creation of documents to support internal/external auditors and Tax Accountant.
• Review accounts, activity, and prepare reconciliations of income tax balances (i.e. Income tax payable and deferred tax assets and liabilities) and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain and reconcile tax related accounts.
• Update of Company's Books of Accounts.
• Provide assistance on matters relating to tax audits and other compliance initiatives, including communications and responses with tax authorities and others where required.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

At least 1 year experience in Tax compliance, preparation, reports and filing.

Experience in using Netsuite and/or any Accounting Software.Supports tax compliance by preparing tax filings, maintaining tax records and reconciliations, assisting with audits, and ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting.
