Job summary

Globe Telecom is seeking an IP/Transport professional to ensure reliable operation of the IP and optical network. You will monitor the network, lead mitigation actions, and review engineering plans. The role requires strong communication and teamwork to align with stakeholders while delivering on territory commitments.

Candidates should have knowledge of IP protocols, network technologies, and be able to work with cross-functional teams to support Mobile, Broadband, and B2B services.

Qualifications

• Average to advanced knowledge in IP protocols (BGP, MPLS, OSPF), DWDM, Microwave Technologies and OSP.
• Basic knowledge in Project Management.
• Awareness of trends in IP technologies (Network Slicing & Segment Routing) and AI basics.
• Excellent communication, presentation and inter-personal skills.
• Adheres to Core Globe Values: customer centricity, integrity, simplicity, speed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IP and Transport network to ensure design alignment and minimal downtime.
• Lead mitigation actions to meet Territory requirements for Mobile, Broadband, and B2B.
• Review EWPs and LLDs for clarity and completeness for the team.
• Facilitate stakeholder and partner meetings to align commitments and targets.
• Provide status updates and regular reports to territory tribe and chapter.
• Identify critical milestones and dependencies affecting timelines.
• Develop strategies to enhance IP Transport asset lifecycle.

Job Description Responsible for the effective operation of the IP and Transport layer, technical user interface, handling service requests, and assisting in the design, management, and operations of the Globe IP and optical network as a whole.

Monitor the IP and Transport network to ensure that it is functioning according to design, and to ensure the availability of the network with minimal downtime.

• With average to advance knowledge in IP protocols (BGP, MPLS, OSPF), DWDM, Microwave Technologies and OSP.
• With basic knowledge in Project Management
• Awareness of the latest trends in technology and applications especially in the IP (Network Slicing & Segment Routing) + basic background on AI
• Excellent communication skills, Presentation Skills, Inter-personal Skills

Responsibilities

• Takes action and Leads mitigation measures as needed to ensure timely delivery of Territory requirements.
• Make strategic decisions with minimal impact on revenue but a significant influence on achieving project deliverables and fulfilling business commitments for Mobile, Broadband, and B2B
• Review and approve Engineering Work Plans (EWPs) and LLDs, ensuring completeness and understandability to be properly carried out by B&D.
• Facilitates meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment on commitments and targets.
• Provide updates and regular reports on project status to territory tribe and chapter.
• Able to identify project critical milestones and dependencies that will have an impact on the project timeline.
• Develop Strategies to enhance the asset lifecycle of IP Transport infrastructure.
