Job Description – Export Compliance Systems Operations (Ingram Micro)

Role overview: You will be the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for export compliance systems operations. You will advise with compliance knowledge and technical expertise, work with stakeholders to analyze business scenarios in various ERP systems via reporting tools (queries) and data analyses, and propose/validate solutions by performing UAT and production QA. The objective is to increase efficiencies, accuracies and productivity through process improvements.
Major Responsibilities
- Export Compliance Program Management for Clients – Collaborate with high-profile clients and project leads on multiple large projects spanning across platforms/ERPs (SAP, IMFirst, Impulse, Shipwire, etc.) and multiple development teams; advise with compliance knowledge during requirements gathering.
- Automation, Process Improvement and System Enhancement – Partner cross-functionally to define data and system requirements for metrics; deliver business and systems process automation improvements; capture feature/function information in a requirements management tool (BRDs, JIRA, etc.); create test cases and provide UAT results.
- Performance Metrics, Reporting, and Analysis – Develop key performance metrics and dashboards; produce detailed monthly and ad hoc reports; provide data-driven improvement recommendations through data mining and analyses.
- Supporting Systems Operations and Auditing – Resolve user issues promptly; enhance scripts/applications; produce technical design and maintainDocumentation.
- Export Operations Administration – Manage meetings with internal stakeholders and external clients; provide timely updates on project phases.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of analytical experience with 3–5 years of functional experience as a Business Analyst/Reports Developer.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong MS Office Suite knowledge; especially MS Excel (macros, formulas, pivot/lookup).
- SQL and VBA macro experience; familiarity with BI tools (Magellan or similar) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP/GTS) is a plus.
- Ability to analyze and interpret statistical reports; strong time management and attention to detail; willingness to work night shift.
