Job summary

Information Professionals, Inc. (IPI) seeks an API-focused professional to design, develop, test, and maintain APIs and backend services using .NET Core. You will lead an API Development Team, implement microservices, and ensure secure, scalable RESTful interfaces for enterprise applications.

You will drive API architecture definitions, CI/CD practices, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT or CS.
• Experience in designing and delivering enterprise APIs.
• Strong knowledge of .NET Core and RESTful services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain APIs and backend applications using .NET Core.
• Design and implement solutions using microservices architecture and integration patterns.
• Develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and ensure performance.
• Implement API security with OAuth 2.0, authentication, and gateways.
• Create and maintain API architecture and technical design docs; perform API testing with Postman.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline design and automated deployment processes.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, security, and architecture guidelines.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide root-cause analysis and fixes.
• Collaborate with developers, business users, and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to the API Development Squad and coordinate activities to meet timelines.
• Stay updated on API standards, security practices, and new technologies.

• Proven experience in Project Management, System Analysis, and System Design for enterprise applications.
• Strong hands‑on experience with .NET Development, MS SQL, API Development, and API Gateway technologies.
• Experience leading and mentoring an API Development Team, including architecture design, implementation, and delivery.
• Proficient in Postman, CI/CD Pipelines, Quality Assurance, and resolving production issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and high‑performance API architectures and integration solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain APIs and backend applications using .NET Core.
• Design and implement solutions using microservices architecture and integration patterns.
• Develop and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing RESTful APIs.
• Implement API security using OAuth/OAuth 2.0, authentication, authorization, and API gateways.
• Create and maintain API architecture and technical design documentation. Perform API testing and validation using tools such as Postman and Postman Collections.
• Participate in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure development deliverables comply with coding standards, security requirements, architecture guidelines, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot application and API issues and provide root‑cause analysis and appropriate technical solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, business users, project teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the API Development Squad.
