Job summary

Information Professionals, Inc. is seeking an experienced API-focused backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful services using .NET Core in Manila.

You will lead an API development squad, implement microservices, ensure CI/CD, apply API security and architecture best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Project Management, System Analysis, and System Design for enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Development, MS SQL, API Development, and API Gateway technologies.
• Experience leading and mentoring an API Development Team, including architecture design, implementation, and delivery.
• Proficient in Postman, CI/CD Pipelines, Quality Assurance, and resolving production issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance API architectures and integration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain APIs and backend applications using .NET Core.
• Design and implement solutions using microservices architecture and integration patterns.
• Develop and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing RESTful APIs.
• Implement API security using OAuth/OAuth 2.0, authentication, authorization, and API gateways.
• Create and maintain API architecture and technical design documentation. Perform API testing and validation using tools such as Postman and Postman Collections.
• Participate in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure development deliverables comply with coding standards, security requirements, architecture guidelines, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot application and API issues and provide root-cause analysis and appropriate technical solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, business users, project teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the API Development Squad.
• Lead or coordinate technical activities, ensuring that development deliverables are completed within agreed timelines. Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
