Job Description

Role Overview

The Senior Systems Administrator owns advanced architecture management, configuration deployment fabrics, data protection systems, and large-scale virtualization estates. Note: In accordance with the specialized contract structures, this senior profile focuses on complex systems that demand an extended experience track for uncertified experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and manage enterprise configuration deployment systems using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), tracking site-to-site communication and client statuses.
• Supervise and orchestrate large-scale automated patch deployments, creating update templates and troubleshooting update installations.
• Own the enterprise monitoring framework via System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), tracking active alerts, client health parameters, and baseline configurations.
• Manage high-density physical infrastructure clusters, including HP ProLiant Rackmount Servers, Blade Servers, and Blade Enclosures.
• Administer storage area networks and automated hardware backup environments, configuring HP 3PAR/Primera storage and HP Autoloaders.
• Supervise enterprise virtualization layers leveraging Microsoft Hyper‑V architectures.
• Own data backup and recovery integrity, monitoring platforms such as EMC Networker, Dell EMC Avamar, and Integrated Data Protection Appliances.
• Track hardware degradation and physical connectivity failures across data centers using HP OneView.
• Oversee server commissioning, decommissioning, disk sanitization, and configuration cleanups.
• Conduct semi‑annual structural audits of corporate folder permissions and maintain all technical documentation for formal IT Audits.
• Formulate technical action plans for Critical and Major incidents under compressed SLA response timelines.
• Manage advanced backend security services, including Mobility Device Management (MDM), KMS Server monitoring, and Root Certificate Authority structures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Advanced technical training certificate or extensive direct project tenure; requires a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience if specialized platform certifications are not held.
• Expert‑level mastery of Microsoft System Center infrastructure suites (SCCM and SCOM 2013 or higher).
• Demonstrated experience managing physical storage infrastructure, including HP Tape Libraries and HP 3PAR/Primera arrays.
• Hands‑on administrative history with enterprise‑grade data backup engines, specifically EMC Networker 9.2.1 or higher.
• Familiarity with peripheral technologies including Microsoft Lync/Teams, Symantec Backup Exec, Sophos, Cloud Solution Services, and ITIL v3 frameworks.
