Job summary

TigerUX in Cebu, Philippines seeks a Farm Manager to lead swine farm operations. Responsibilities include enforcing biosecurity, monitoring health, prompt treatment of sick animals, vaccination oversight, and coordinating with the Farm Manager on area needs.

The ideal candidate has agriculture/animal science degree and 7-8 years of managerial farm experience, willingness to reside on site, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Free housing and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field.
• 7-8 years managerial experience in a swine farm.
• Willing to stay in farm premises at Argao/Pinamungajan.
• High problem-solving skills.
• Above average written and conversational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that biosecurity protocols are complied with.
• Conducts proper monitoring of health condition by doing daily rounds.
• Initiates prompt identification and medication of sick animals.
• Diagnoses disease or any abnormal conditions through physical and behavioral observation as basis for proper treatment.
• Monitors the mortality and morbidity rate of all departments being supervised and collects data of established facts.
• Oversees vaccination based on protocol.
• Monitors the proper implementation of Standard Operating Procedure in Wean to Finish.
• Performs the planning of working schedule for subordinates to sustain manpower requirement.
• Consults and coordinates with the Farm Manager regarding matters that need to be addressed in the specific area of responsibility.
• Perform other functions as may be required on a temporary basis.
