Job summary

Responsibilities

This position will be physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP**

Under the guidance of the Supply Supervisor, the Supply Foreman is responsible for daily support action and oversight of logistics activities in receiving, storage, issue, turn-in, issue, central receiving and shipping point (CRSP) and/or Agricultural (AG) cleaning. The Supply Foreman will provide guidance within assigned functional areas (FA), performing support tasks and actions in the established LIS; guides subordinate AN and/or LN staff and assists with maintaining compliance IAW established regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing guidelines, applicable to military doctrine, CDRLs and PWS

Responsibilities

  • Use good working knowledge of governing supply systems (GCSSA/G-Army), programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, other established guidelines, and needs of the organization to apply analytical and critical thinking need to take appropriate supply action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
  • Ensures that all processes and procedures are IAW the performance work statement (PWS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions (WI), Army regulations, DA Pamphlets, Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and local requirements for the handling, receipt and turn in of supplies and UBL parts and repair parts; maintain compliance IAW AG Cleaning standards, policies and procedures
  • Assists Supply Supervisor in coordinating workloads to efficiently use resources that include personnel, equipment, tools and facilities.
  • Inspects incoming stock for accuracy, reports discrepancies, and directs the return of defective or incorrect items
  • Monitor stock levels, participate in inventories, and processes receipts and other related documents using inventory control software
  • Prepare, analyze and provide usable data for reports as required. Recommends solutions to problems indicated by analysis of trends, indicators, potential problems or those identified by leadership and/or the government.
  • Submit all required reports accurately and on time.
  • Proficiently execute logistics actions within G-Army based on experience and training
  • Monitor the Shelf-Life program when applicable
  • Execute and oversee all tasks required assigned and guide AN and/or LN subordinate staff.
  • Execute and ensure compliance of Agricultural (AG) cleaning requirements and preparation of equipment, materials and all associated supporting documentation.
  • Maintain compliance IAW established regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing guidelines, applicable to military doctrine, CDRLs and PWS
  • Works in conjunction with other departments to accomplish all required tasks.
  • Provides input on work performance of assigned staff to ensure they are within Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all regulation compliance pertaining to their assigned duties.
  • Oversee and guide small groups of personnel on multiple tasks
  • Ensure employees are always within compliance with established Safety Policies and Regulations.
  • Ensure safeguarding of all Army property and equipment.
  • Assist with Work Performance Training when required.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as required
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education/Certifications:
    • One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
    • Must be a US. Citizen
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor ehicle Operator’s License
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4 years’ work experience in supply operations.
    • A solid background in automated data systems and automated.
    • Must have at least 3 years of consistent working knowledge in the GCSS-Army Supply system
  • Skills
    • Military experience and training in Supply related field(s) (92A, Automated Logistical Specialist) desired. Extensive civilian experience will be accepted in lieu of military experience.
    • Must have high-level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including work, Excel, Outlook and other related applications
    • G-Army 40-hr G-Army Supply Support Activity (SSA) certification preferred.
    • Possesses extensive knowledge of GCSS-Army (EUM, supply transactions, corrective actions, requisitions, T-Code etc..).
    • Must be familiar with appropriate AR’s (Army Regulations) and TM’s (Technical Manuals) concerning all supply activities for the receipt, storage, inventory and issue of supplies and equipment.
    • Must be able to identify and act on unique or recurring customer issues
    • Must have excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
    • Must have high-level organizational, coordination and planning skills.
    • Must be able coach and mentor staff in a professional manner that promotes a healthy work environment
  • Working Conditions:
    • Indoor/outdoor environment with very adverse challenging conditions (i.e., heat, humid, and extremely wet/rainy environment with average temperatures of 65 degrees in the winter and 95 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
