Job summary

Svitzer in the Philippines is seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Specialist to strengthen procurement, logistics and P2P activities for Batangas operations. You will help ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery of materials, services and equipment to support safe and reliable marine operations.

Working with vessel crews, finance and suppliers, you will drive process improvements, cost control and performance reporting to sustain high standards of operational excellence across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Manage Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes and ensure consistent compliance.
• Apply the No PO, No Pay policy across operations.
• Coordinate procurement and supply chain activities with vessel crews, operational teams, finance and suppliers.
• Track shipments, deliveries and goods receipt statuses to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
• Maintain procurement data in the ERP system and generate regular spend and performance reports.
• Drive digitalisation and process automation to improve procurement and supply chain efficiency.

Who We Are Looking For

You will be responsible for the effective delivery of procurement, logistics and supply chain management activities supporting BBTI's operations in Batangas. The role ensures the timely, cost-effective and compliant acquisition of goods and services while maintaining continuity of supply, optimising total cost of ownership, and supporting safe and efficient operations. Working closely with operational teams, finance, suppliers and regional stakeholders, the incumbent drives procurement excellence, supplier performance and continuous improvement across the supply chain function.

• Reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of goods and services through internal demand forecasting, supplier relationship management, spend analysis, and framework agreements.
• Adhere to governing guidelines including Svitzer Procurement Manual, Procurement Handbook, and the framework defined by Svitzer IT systems and P2P platforms.
• Oversee P2P process implementation and optimization, logistics, and general cost/supply optimization across all aspects of BBTI’s operations.

Specific Area of Responsibility

Operational & P2P Management

• Manage the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process and ensure consistent compliance.
• Apply the "No PO, No Pay" policy consistently.
• Ensure compliance with the Svitzer Procurement Manual, Group policies, and Sustainable Procurement and Compliance guidelines and applicable client policies and guidelines.
• Work closely with vessel crews, operational teams, finance and suppliers to coordinate procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
• Execute purchase orders against approved requisitions while balancing cost, quality and timely delivery, including time-critical requirements.
• Track shipment arrivals, confirmation, and goods received status to guarantee correct delivery timing and quantities.
• Maintain the Sertica Procurement database and provide operational documentation / administrative support.
• Maintain accurate procurement and supply chain transactions within the ERP system.
• Produce regular procurement, spend and operational performance reports to support business decision-making.
• Drive digitalisation and process automation initiatives to improve procurement and supply chain efficiency.

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Management

• Develop strategic supplier partnerships and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service support, availability, and reliability.
• Optimize active vendor lists down to suppliers that offer the highest value and lowest TCO, establishing framework agreements where beneficial.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure optimal pricing, contract terms, cost savings, and long-term business value.
• Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, renewal, and compliance monitoring.
• Develop and execute strategic procurement initiatives to achieve cost savings, value creation, and supply continuity.

Cost Optimisation, Logistics & Issue Resolution

• Monitor and optimize TCO through price benchmarking, bulk purchases, logistics consolidation, and general inventory management.
• Liaise with authorities, customs, and freight forwarders to ensure timely, low-cost logistics for spares and consumables.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive supplier and market risk management.
• Resolve supplier, logistics, defect, shortage, and delivery issues through effective problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration.
• Build strong cross-functional and stakeholder relationships to align procurement strategies with business objectives and deliver measurable operational improvements.
