About the role

As an Assistant Manager of Supply Chain and Procurement, the role is to support the overall management and coordination of the supply chain. You will work closely with the Supply Chain and Procurement Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the supply chain function.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement process, which involves sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the required goods or services, including analyzing supplier proposals, evaluating supplier performance, and managing supplier relationships
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory or stockouts, involving forecasting demand, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing inventory control measures
• Coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to customers or internal departments, including managing transportation arrangements, optimizing delivery routes, and ensuring on-time delivery
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply of goods or services, involving negotiating contracts, addressing supplier concerns, and monitoring supplier performance to meet quality and delivery requirements
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction within the supply chain and procurement function, including analyzing data, implementing best practices, and recommending process enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate with various internal departments, such as operations, finance, and quality assurance, to align supply chain activities with organizational objectives, including coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication and resolving any interdepartmental issues
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies throughout the supply chain and procurement process, including managing supplier compliance, mitigating supply chain risks, and implementing appropriate control measures
