Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a seasoned Lead Engineer to head the Product Engineering team in the Philippines. The role focuses on driving NPI, ECOs, and product lifecycle management within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and global engineering teams to deliver robust products while maintaining compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Requires 3+ years in Product or Manufacturing Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with NPI, ECN/ECO, and product lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Product Engineering team to achieve departmental goals and business objectives.
  • Manage New Product Introduction (NPI), product transfer, and engineering change implementation.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and production to resolve product-related issues.
  • Review and approve engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, BOMs, process instructions, and ECOs.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for product and process issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders on product development and sustaining activities.
  • Monitor engineering KPIs and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements.
  • Coach and develop engineers through performance reviews and training.
  • Support audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections as the engineering representative.

Lead and supervise the Product Engineering team to achieve departmental goals and business objectives.

  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional stakeholders on product development and sustaining activities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop engineers by conducting performance reviews, training, and career development planning.
  • Support audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections as the engineering representative.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Product Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECO), and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product design, and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and PLM tools is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with CAD software is preferred.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional, and global environment.
