Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the Philippines onsite manufacturing environment seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to supervise a team supporting new product development and DFMA-driven process optimization in Batangas. You will collaborate across Product Engineering, Design, Quality, and Operations to ensure manufacturability and cost targets are met.

Responsibilities include developing and validating processes, creating SOPs, and coordinating prototype builds and trials to demonstrate capability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing/Process/Product Engineering or NPI in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience supporting new product development, product transfer, or process development.
  • Knowledge of DFMA principles.
  • Experience in process development, prototype builds, tooling, fixtures, and equipment validation.
  • Familiar with PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs and manufacturing docs.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement exposure.
  • Root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, or Fishbone diagrams.
  • Proficient in MS Office; ERP/MRP and CAD experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise team of Mfg-Engineering professionals to support new product development for lavs 3.0 deployment. Plans and Sets day-to-day, establishes goals and objectives for a team and solve complex problems to support the business.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure manufacturing requirements are incorporated during product development.
  • Conduct Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) reviews and provide recommendations to optimize product manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes, work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute prototype builds, pilot runs, and engineering trials to validate manufacturing capability.
  • Design and improve manufacturing processes based on product requirements, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets are achieved.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, or New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting new product development, product transfer, or manufacturing process development.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
  • Experience in process development, prototype builds, manufacturing process design, tooling, fixtures, and equipment validation.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing documentation such as Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, or similar problem-solving methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP/MRP systems and CAD software is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
