Job summary

Job Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance team to ensure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of production and test equipment. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop the Team
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and mechanics.
  • Assign daily work schedules, monitor performance, and provide coaching and training.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage Equipment Reliability
  • Ensure equipment uptime through effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Lead troubleshooting activities and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Oversee Maintenance Operations
  • Plan and coordinate preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Monitor maintenance metrics such as equipment downtime, response time, and completion rates.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Control Inventory and Resources
  • Manage spare parts, tools, and maintenance consumables.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure the availability of critical materials.
  • Optimize inventory levels while minimizing operational risks.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, maintenance processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvement projects.
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance
  • Enforce company safety policies, environmental standards, and maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a safe working environment and investigate maintenance-related incidents when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to support business objectives.
  • Communicate equipment status, maintenance plans, and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or semiconductor operations.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing or automated production equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and equipment reliability programs.
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
