Meet the team:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Applications Support Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, support, and optimization of our organization's application systems. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and usability of critical business applications.
Where you come in:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of application support specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to achieving departmental goals and objectives.
- Application Support:
- Oversee the day-to-day support activities for all enterprise applications, including troubleshooting issues, resolving user inquiries, and ensuring timely incident resolution.
- Implement best practices for application support processes, including incident management, problem resolution, and change management.
- System Maintenance and Optimization:
- Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements, enhancements, and optimizations.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the stability, reliability, and scalability of application systems.
- People Management:
- Manage direct reports' career and performance assessments and improvements.
- Develop team skills in integration technologies and support processes.
- Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with the team to identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort.
- Drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
What makes you successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within application support or IT operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise applications, including troubleshooting methodologies, incident management processes, and change management practices.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and service providers, with a focus on vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
